Daniel Robert Parasky is a summa cum laude graduate from Boston University with a Masters degree in Music Education. For his undergraduate studies, he majored in flute performance at Duquesne University. His private flute students have successfully auditioned for various honors ensembles, soloist competitions and workshops at the local, regional, national level and international level. Several of his students have received scholarship to pursue music at college.
Dan serves as an active clinician regarding pedagogy and has presented during the National Flute Convention. His most memorable performance was in 2006 during the opening gala concert of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra where he played onstage with Sir James and Lady Jeanne Galway and the Pittsburgh Flute Club Flute Choir.
Dan himself is a member of the National Flute Association and serves on the board for the Pittsburgh Flute Club as its President. He serves as the administrator for the newly formed Newlonsburg Music Academy in Murrysville, PA. He is also very passionate about exercise and teaches multiple Les Mills Group Fitness classes including Body Pump, Body Combat, RPM, Body Attack and Body Step while balancing out a wonderful marriage with his wife, Jackie.
