Daniel Robert Parasky is a summa cum laude graduate from Boston University with a Masters degree in Music Education. For his undergraduate studies, he majored in flute performance at Duquesne University. His private flute students have successfully auditioned for various honors ensembles, soloist competitions and workshops at the local, regional, national level and international level. Several of his students have received scholarship to pursue music at the undergraduate and graduate level.
Dan’s recent performances include the National Flute Convention held in Pittsburgh where he took part in multiple concerts showcasing chamber music. He also performed at the 2006 opening gala concert of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra where he played onstage with Sir James and Lady Jeanne Galway.
Dan himself is a member of the National Flute Association and serves on the board for the Pittsburgh Flute Club as its President. He is also very passionate about fitness and teaches multiple exercise classes per week including Les Mills RPM (Cycling), Les Mills Body Pump (Weightlifting) and a freestyle CORE class that combines abdominal exercises with kickboking while balancing out a wonderful marriage with his wife, Jackie.
