BioDaniel Robert Parasky is a summa cum laude graduate with music degrees from Boston and Duquesne Universities. His private flute students have successfully auditioned for various honors ensembles, soloist competitions and workshops at the local, regional, national level and international level. Several of his students have received scholarships to pursue music at college. 

Dan serves as an active clinician in pedagogy and has presented seminars during the National Flute Convention. His most memorable performance was in 2006 during the opening gala concert of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra where he played onstage with Sir James and Lady Jeanne Galway and the Pittsburgh Flute Club Flute Choir. 

Dan himself is a member of the National Flute Association and recently resigned from the board for the Pittsburgh Flute Club as its President. He is also the administrator for the Newlonsburg Music Academy in Murrysville, PA. He is very passionate about exercise and teaches multiple Les Mills Group Fitness classes including Body Pump, Body Combat, RPM, Body Attack, Body Step and Body Flow.

* Pittsburgh Youth Symphony International Tour
* National Flute Association High School Soloist Competition: Student Finalist at the 2002, 2003 and 2004 conventions
* National Flute Association High School Flute Choir Competition: 11 different students from 2002-2011 with a total of 15 placements into the ensemble
* Bands of America Honors Band in the Rose Parade: 8 student winners in 2004
* FSW Student Honors Competition: Winners in both the High School and Elementary Division (2 times)
* FSW High School Flute Choir: 15 different students from 2005-2012 with a total of 18 placements into the ensemble
* PMEA-All State Orchestra, PMEA-All State Band (2 times), PMEA-Honors Band (5 times)
* Pittsburgh Youth Symphony, Three Rivers Young Peoples Orchestra (4 times), Westmoreland Youth Symphony Orchestra (5 times)

Intern Teacher

Courtney Harkins is attending Duquesne University as a Music Education Major. When she was enrolled in the Parasky Flute Studios, Courtney was selected for the NFA National High School Flute Choir (4 times), PMEA Honors Band (2 Times) and the PMEA All-State Band. Courtney was also a scholarship winner from the Friday Evening Musical Club and received both music and academic scholarships from Duquesne University.
